I would just like to ask, How long has Jason got left on this site?

I know I have a strange sense of humour but even I couldn't be so low as to post something along the lines of How long has he got?

If I was going to start a poll about Jason's chances of lasting until the week-end I would hope that before I've even finished this thread he would have apologised to all those people that hold the pope in great respect & admiration.

I'm not a Catholic, I don't believe in a God, but I do believe that, the other thread is of the lowest form of humour.

This is the serious board so why are people having conversations in here when they should be in Anything Goes!!
If the moderators were so bothered they should do there jobs and delete the thread if it is offensive or move it to Anything goes.

I agree with Less and changing the subject as to if the posting is correct is not really debateable.Basically the banishable reason is even thinking about having a poll on a subject like this.If the person is famous or not, and as to a serious post i think not

I didnt do it out of taste,we have polls for all types of things on here,this was another one.
I did it to get peoples opinions............looks like i certainly got that and got more besides.

To be fair, what Jason done was to bring up a subject that is in the minds of many others right now...and that includes how much longer the Pope has to live. What he done wrong was to give it a touch of levity by adding a poll which, I am sure, he now regrets.

On the other hand, what Tealeaf done on the same thread was totally disgusting and although I wouldn't like to see tealeaf banned, he certainly showed an aggression towards Jason that bordered on Libel!!! Out of character for tealeaf, and OUT OF ORDER! :(

i dont think you should "kick" someone of a forum board for the sake of having a point of view after all look at it this way you should be thanking him he has given you all something to talk about whaich in return has added to your ackers or your karma i thought this was accy web ! not we are all politacaly correct and adhear to the fact that no-one has a point of view different from anyone elses

I don't know I didn't start this thread for Tealeafs benefit the only comments I have made have been my own, just because some-one else has perhaps also shown bad taste does not excuse you from having made the same mistake.


Nobody made me God, if you look at what I said,

I said Fate will probably (not me), and if I was putting myself in the position of a vengeful God I would hardly be mentioning that Jason would be at the next meeting.

instead of voting in the poll perhaps those that think they can predict the popes demise should go to the betting shop

there have been bets on peoples deaths for years its human nature to take the mick out of serious issues

well it may not be human nature but it is the british way to find humour in anything

before passing judgemnet on a mere poll look back at all the N.A.S.A , zeburga , ethiopian and many other disater related jokes and ask your self although the joke was sick did you laugh when been told it in the pub or the work place

if you have never laughed at a joke made at somone elses expense then you can pass judgement

i would go to the bookies but no one has put it up yet , maybe someone should, all this talk of bad taste just makes you wonder what the pope thinks? maybe he is looking forward to his demise as he gets to meet the man he has spoke about and after all how can the topic of his demise be viewed in bad taste when after all when he does meet the end he is going to a better place , well thats what the pope preaches and every holy man in the world.

If the Pope has a sense of humour, he would probably find it amusing people having friendly bets on this, what he would not find amusing, is all the bickering going on about the subject.

Whatever.....just let them keep having a go at me..............its them that are looking petty and stupid at the same time.
I've had worse flak in the newspapers and magazines and this is water off a ducks back to me.
Just goes to show that some people cant have a discussion without slating someone,thats pretty childish in my opinion and worse than me posting a poll about death.
I suggest you better write to william hills and Ladbrooks as they run bets on this sort of thing every week.

Instead of bleating about how hard done by you feel, why not try explaining why you feel that your Poll is not in bad taste. I, for one, would be genuinely interested to hear your justification, perhaps you may have an understanding of the situation that none of us have thought of yet. How about it mate?

I don't think the poll was sick.Other members voted as well,so it didn't affect all of you the same way.
I just thought it would give a good view of how interested people were.
Is it just the poll that pi**ed everyone off or the thread itself?
If it was the thread then i suggest you write and complain to all the media groups that ran the story.

I post good news stories on here that i think are interesting and get people talking and discussing,that is exactly what i did with my original thread on the pope.If people find that offensive that is their perogative,at least the board awoke from its slumber yesterday.

I love having a good discussion but the flak and character assassination i got yesterday just goes to show that people cannot do that.
People should really get off the high ground and look at some of their posts that they do.

Like i said yesterday we have moderators on accyweb and it is their job to remove and edit posts and POLLS if they are unsuitable.......are you telling me there hasn't been one mod on here since yesterday to do that on the poll thread?........NO...........so maybe the mods think it is ok!!

Just seen this poll on Michael Jackson that was originally done by Tealeaf,did he get flak for asking members's opinions?...mmmmmm...............NO.
