Queen Mania

Did anyone have the misfortune to watch Queen Mania on ITV last night (Saturday) ?

Freddie Mercury must be turning in his grave. What a load of rubbish. Why do these people think they can do justice to Queen's music?

Freddy is a hard act to follow and they won't find another one! So the best your going to get is gloryfied Kareoke! I stayed in and watched Master and Commander on sky!

however if anyone has been on a p&o cruise ship and seen the stadium theatre company do a tribute to queen ,then they saw a fantastic show ...

I agree last night wasn't good and it's poor Madonna's turn next week to have her songs murdered :( can't wait lol!

Re: Queen Mania

This was one of the worst tribute shows ever shown...........all the tunes were murdered, and a lot of the singers(if you can call them that) were out of tune!!

Toyah was terrible!!

Thinking about this makes me wonder if we have gotten to the bottom of the barrel with television in general and ITV in particular? I have not seen anything genuinely new and entertaining on the box for what seems like an eternity. Everything has been done and re-done over and over again and although it may look slick and glossy it really is not any different from the sort of stuff that the TV pumped out in the 1960's. In fact the only really new thing is "Reality TV" and aren't we all soooooo grateful for that!
