i have a friend who wants to learn to drive but he cant wear a seatbelt and has an exemtion certificate

would driving instructors teach him or would their insurance be invalid because the learner is not wearing a seat belt ...?

My Dads wife is a driving instructor for BSM. She's at work right now but I will ask her for you if no one else answers before I can get hold of her.

I would have thought that if an exemption certificate is held, there would not be a problem. They would probably need to keep it with them all the time, though

Sorry chav I'd forgotten to ring but I just have now.


She says yes it is fine as long as they have an exemption certificate but make it clear to the instructor when he/she rings to book their first lesson and carry the exemption certificate with them on every driving lesson.

nah i never ask its probably somthing they would rather keep private maybe
