Springhill School are having a Summer Gala in the school grounds (mostly round the front end Mez ;) ).

There will be Bric-a-Brac, a raffle and a tombola, games for children (including football penalty shoot-outs for under 7s,) fun for adults and children with bat-the-rat and hook-a-duck for all ages. There'll be refreshments, face painting, mendhi, and various other stalls.

Some quite nice looking prizes.

Look out for the "smelly stall" which will be "womaned" by Mimi and myself.

thanks for that willow, dare i move my car i ask myself, he he, is mendhi the painting on the hands? if so i might pop round for some doing on mine.

Yes, Mez it's the hand painting thing. If I can get away from my stall for a but I wouldn't mind having it done too.

I'm not sure where visitors will be thnking of parking because most of the stalls are going to be on the actual school car park (which isn't very big anyway). The mendhi bit will be near the school building at the end near you.

(I couldn't undrstand the logic of the planning permission about that car park.)

Hope the weather holds out for you and you have a good turn out.

After you've been there you might want to pop into Ossy for the Wizard of Ossy Carnival on Whiteash Playing fields. Actually starts earlier than yours at 11am so people could go there first as I'm sure people can fit two lots of fun into one day.

I would love to have some fun tomorrow, but unfortunately I am working from 7.30am -9pm and it is certainly not fun. Not only will I miss all the events of the day, but I will also miss Easy Street playing at the Stag tomorrow night, which I am definitely not happy about.:s_cry:
