Accy / Burnley Web Meets

Hello there!

For those who don't know me, I run a similar forum for Burnley, Padiham and Pendle on www.burnleyweb.com which Roy helped me set up and what not.

My members count is not as high as Accy Web but we are increasing slowly. I was wondering what you lot think about 'merging' the Accy Web meetups with the Burnley Web ones (We have had none so far though).

I'll just add the dates and time in the calendar. This will surely help both forums to increase our presence plus gives people something to do.

As time goes on, perhaps Accy Web members could go to Burnley for a 'party'. Couple of pub owners use my forum and what not so i'm sure something could be arranged.

Answer the poll and / or reply here.

Hi Neal, Not living in Accy now and having only ever attended one Accyweb meet on non of the Burnley Web meets (I am a member of Burnley web) I don’t feel that I’m qualified to make a decision on the matter but I don’t think that it’s a bad idea, after all Burnley’s only a fleas fart up the road and the natives or just as nice…….I’ll vote anyway, Whatever the result Neal, Burnley webs a cracking site. Good Luck

No. l am a member of Burnley Web, and l just joined one of your other sites,;) but keep them seperate!

You lot will be most welcome to come to ours, and visa versa. Two for the price of one!!!

We could get an Accy Web charabanc over to see you at your meets.

I of course will be making my own way, perilously close to the Yorkshire border, on horse back, a la Lady Godiva.

Sounds like a good idea to me Neal. I’ve had some very good nights over In Burnley.
We shall have to see if our Accyweb meeting organizer can come up with something. :)

Sometimes we can't even make it to an AccyWeb one these days but it's nothing to do with location and everything to do with availability of Busman.

I very rarely visit BurnleyWeb, must remind myself to pop over there.

I don't see any harm in both visiting each other, but maybe it would make more sense if the people joined the site too even if they don't live in the area, but to have joint meetings would seem to make them less of an AccyWeb meeting if you know what I mean, if that makes sense. My interest in the Burnley area is from my very early childhood and my Grandparents living in Hapton.

I'll set you back as moderator on bw, sorry it would have been with the updates and me messing with the forums, I would never chucj your skills away pal!

Have fun. I'll think i'll arrange some meets soon for Burnley Web members and as time goes on, arrange visits to each others!

well that was in a place of work where people will get sacked if any violence/trouble occurs

whilst out in a pub i would never contemplate wearing a rovers shirt firstly because im not that stupid and secondly because i wouldnt like it if a dingle walked into a blackburn pub wearing a dingle shirt .....common sense prevails ....anybody doing so would only be doing it to look for or cause trouble ...

Re: Accy / Burnley Web Meets

I still can't understand why wearing a football shirt in a certain area can cause problems, we are all British / humand / earthlings and there's plenty of things that we should be worrying about. Football used to be about peace and fun, all gone nearly now.

Anyhow, going off topic sorry.
