Chess anyone?
 

I mentioned some time ago that I was hoping to run a board games event in March next year. Well, it looks like that is definitely going to happen.

My first thoughts (and these are only ideas at this point) are that the main idea should be to get people in to play games and perhaps learn new ones, but I was also thinking of running some challenges.

I'm looking for experts in Chess, Backgammon, Scrabble and Monopoly (or any other board game) who would be interested in being my expert. Or who would be interested in running a knockout competition throughout the day. Any volunteers?

Nope not volonteering.. you would have to be mega confident in yerself to put your hand up and say your an expert... however I do think this is a fantastic idea... I like a game of Chess.. seems years since I had a decent game.... and all the rest of the board games... looks like a brilliant idea to me...
