Christmas do 2005
Oooops....I know this is a bit early, but has anyone any ideas WHEN to have the christmas do this year? Its just that I have a bit further to travel than most and I doubt if we're looking at saturday 24th December.
Possibly Friday 23rd.....maybe thursday 22nd? Probably the best date for most is Saturday 17th December, but I can't make it that weekend. Maybe we could run this thread for a while & then narrow down to some dates for a poll. |
Re: Christmas do 2005
I will need to know early too, so that I can request the time off..:)
|
Re: Christmas do 2005
...so come on, you lot. Lets have some favoured dates. Me & Lettie have jobs to do & we need to plan ahead. We don't spend all day idyling around on here. Start posting your preferred date(s).

Re: Christmas do 2005

|
Re: Christmas do 2005

|
Re: Christmas do 2005
I'll be home in a fortnight so no problem for me, provididng i dont get sent somewhere else that is!
|
Re: Christmas do 2005
Most accyweb do's seem to be on a saturday... thus stopping most accy fans from going if the teams playing away...
is it a crimbo dinner thing or just a night out? what about a sunday ...afternoon meal then out until ya drop :) |
Re: Christmas do 2005
Any date will do for me and nette we have nothing planned so far. Would prefer a Friday or a Saturday night thou, Sunday not good, many have work Monday morning but then again I could be wrong.
I hope this helps. :) |
Re: Christmas do 2005
I dont have a preference as long as I know in time to arrange a sitter.

Re: Christmas do 2005
tell you what ..............lets have some input on this one please, dates ? place ?...........ideas. ive got one idea..........lets do the "staggers & his merry men(& women)" in costume......... should be funny. any more ideas, please don't leave it to one person again.

Re: Christmas do 2005
To be honest I like the idea of an early Jan do, not because I'm humbug about xmas its just such a busy time of year and so many do's going on. Early Jan would give so many more members a chance to make it!! Just an idea. As for a theme and location why don't you decide staggers, would you like a night away or would you like to perform your show in the stag???? ;)

Re: Christmas do 2005
There's a poll going to be run very shortly on alternative dates, so if you have any ideas on this, then get 'em in now.
|
Re: Christmas do 2005
I would like friday the 23rd if possible. I am working Xmas Day and Boxing Day, but I reckon I will be able to get friday and Xmas Eve off...:D
|
Re: Christmas do 2005
I too, like Friday 23rd....the only problem is that it will probably be a very busy night. One idea is to have an afternoon/early evening do on tuesday 27th for those that can make it, as well as a a meet up on December 17th or 23rd (evening). It is a tough one this year, because of Christmas falling on a weekend.
|
Re: Christmas do 2005
i like 23rd too & i could get to like 27th as well.
|
Re: Christmas do 2005
having looked at the calendar & thought more about it ............i really favour the 23rd, yea lets have a great friday meet up.......start xmas off brilliant will that .

Re: Christmas do 2005
If it is the 23rd, we won't get there until about 10:30 - always provided Virgin Trains run properly - complete with suitcases, etc. All in favour of a get together between Christmas and New Year - will be having a party again this year, so all of you who know where I live are invited!
