Has anyone been in town tonight?? I've been working in Ossy for a few months so haven't really had time to go down. But I got a rare night off tonight and so headed off into town. My God it was dire!! I know the weather is bad but still, it was dead!! I also personally saw 3 people in pubs that were on pubwatch, and 2 fights! Also I felt old, and i'm only 23, everyone seemed to be really young (people i'd have asked for ID) So what do others who have been to town tonight (or recently think??)

PS... Didnt go in Baileys though, so I'm sure AccyJay is doing a good job, as always.

Haven't been into town for a few weeks and before that must have been quite a few months. Won't be going again, as you said dire. But apart from the Calder (which is newish) the pubs looked filthy, and bar staff surly. As you said the ones that were drinking are very young, they should be at home tucked up in bed with their dummy.

We went to the Accrington Beer Festival, at the Peel Park pub, last night. The place was full to the rafters. There were 6 real ales on at all times. The prices were cheap too, at only £1 for a half pint & 2 quid for a pint. It just goes to show, give people what they want and at the right price and quality, then they will turn up.

I saw you walking straight past Baileys (with big T) & you didn't even say hello.

Last night there was a lot of young people out, most of them had been to an eighteenth birthday party. The main problem in town recently, is that people don't seem to follow a circuit anymore. We were busier than usual last night. Baileys gets busy about 10:30pm, but, if you were to come into town an hour earlier, you would probably think it was really bad.
