The German version they call blood wurst and its ok but not a patch on the black pudding from home.Have to wait until someebody i know is going back.Brought some back wi me but its all gone.

Well here goes.They look like big pieces of Ravioli.Only they are done in pastry.Filling is mashed potato , onions and bacon.More of a thing from Canada around Winnepeg.Apparently the are a Ukraine food and a lot of people emigrated there and it is now a part of the diet around that area.Maybe Little Mo could fill us in on all this.She is local now???

more local to UK than Vancouver as i'm in Ontario! :P anyway I believe they are originally a Polish dish,  you describe them well, just to add they are deep fried, or done in the oven and you dip them in sour cream and they are yummie!!!! get them in any pub around here

Don't like eating out much. The whole worlds gone gunk mad.  >:(
Try getting a plain ham sandwich on white bread not a cat in hells chance.
Plain cheese and tomato on white not likely.
Ask for a plain burger and they look at you like your nuts.
