private hire from frasers can be quite expensive

try a local firm can recommend abbey coaches based in clayton le moors (just before you get to balti stan)

they do 24/25/33/49/53 seaters but tell him how many seats you want and he'll do you a deal

if he cant do it call cranberry coaches

Re: coach firms?

The sizes of the coaches Cranberry have vary. They will send the coach to suit your requirements. The more people you have, the bigger the coach you'll get.

Sadly, Walter passed away in February 1999 aged 94.

:D, yep , guessed the old boy wasn't around anymore , it was more of a facetious reply than anything , though good to hear he made a good age , Walter used to take all the scout/cub troops from Gt. Harwood area on their summer camps to Witherslack and Wernside in the 50s/early60s , if Robinsons or Ribbledale coaches were offering day trips to Blackpool/Morcambe/Southport for 5/- Walter's price was 4/6d .
If you know the family , thank them for very happy memories and know he is not forgotten :D

Don't tell me you've never heard of them!! They used to do all the day trips alongside Fraser Eagle for us poor folks that couldn't afford a holiday.:(
