Duke of Wellington

Just been up there today for my dinner. Had the carvery £3.50 there was a choice of Turkey, Ham or Beef you could have 1, 2 or all 3. Me i had all 3 im a greedy thing!!! But it was good well worth it. Choice of veg which you helped yourself to - boiled new potatoes, roast potatoes, carrots, peas, cauliflower cheese, swede. You also got a yorkshire pudding and a stuffing ball, gravy, choice of sauces, mustard, cranberry, horseradish.

Will take spug when hes down!!!

Nice surroundings as well especially if you go into the conservatory bit looking out over grane and reservoirs. By the way it does get busy. It reopened a couple of weeks ago. Oh and the bus stop is outside the Duke of Wellington as well.

Sorry dave - if you offer to pay for my carvery i'll show you where it is!!:D

By the way it is kid friendly theres a climbing frame etc outside. There were quite a few kids up there today and highchairs were available.

If you go from haslingden - take the second turning after the traffic lights in the centre (just before the health centre) stay to right come to the end and go across the road - missing the bay horse on your left down grane road, under the bypass bridge, up past the cemetary and church and keep going. Its on your left before the turn in for grane ressies and the houses on your right.
