Whats The Best Pub for Live Acts
 

Was wondering what peoples reccomendations would be for the best pubs/clubs for Live Entertainment, at weekends or during the week is at the moment. Many pubs are very quiet these days, so usually prefer to go to see an entertainer/singer/group, but there does'nt seem to be as many places now which put them on in a reliable manner so that you would definately know when there would be someone singing on any given night? Usually end up at Brookes Club or sometimes Stanhill!

dont know all taggy, but sydney st fri/sat/sun, wi NO BINGO is ok.:);)

The Pioneer working men's club in Church has an artist on Friday and Saturday nights.

Stop & Rest has artists every Friday night, be warned though its always very busy.

Depends what you are into but The Hope and Anchor have some good live bands on on a Friday.
Seen some pretty good Rock and Metal bands in there and the occasional 60's cover bands.

I thought Sydney Street on had live acts on now on Saturdays?

PS...Someone said they had started with live acts again at Rose and Crown on Sat nights, but dont know if thats regular or on a sporadic basis.

I think the plough does karaoke if you want to go join in ;) my friend sometimes goes for a sing ... YouTube - adam wilkinson If u'd like a look go there :D he's pretty good erm, black horse also used to do karaoke ;)

I know my brother-in-law's band have played at the Hope & Anchor a few times and it's always been a good night.

Yeah i've always enjoyed it even if i wasn't that keen on some of the bands,its good to see live music up close and personal!

Welcome to The Viper Room this was a favorite place of mine for live acts although only snag being .......its in LA....:rolleyes: ah well

I can't believe noones mentioned the Attic... On Warner street,
great venue, live bands on fridays and saturdays including the occasional big name!
and... you get to see me on the bar :P
