Bringing Justice To The People

Thought this might be of interest to some of the members. It is a "You Be The Judge" event where you consider real criminal cases and vote on what you think the sentence should be. You will then be told what sentence was handed down and also be able to pose questions to a panel of lawyers, a judge and a magistrate about the sentences passed.
The event is taking place at the Globe Centre on Thursday September 23rd from 5.30pm till 8pm. To request a place contact harlene Hindle on 01772-272832 or by e-mailing [email protected] by September16th.

It's more than you get when doing jury service and less messing about too....I might look into this, thanks Bernadette. :)

Can't imagine anyone on Accyweb being remotely interested in this, would be unusual for anybody on here to pass judgement on other people :rofl38::rofl38:

I'd find it very interesting. I was very disappointed by my jury service experience earlier in the year when I spent two weeks waiting in a room without actually getting to hear a trial.

I wish I'd studied law when I was younger like Blazey.

My post was tongue in cheek Lilly :). I've no doubt there will be a few who find it interesting if for no other reason than the novelty factor.

Lost me at the end, who is Blazey ;)
