Has anyone been there for a meal lately?We went a couple of years ago & really enjoyed the food.We have a family occassion coming up & wondered if it was still the same people/chef who worked there.Would be grateful if anyone could give me some more up to date info.Cheers.

Okay the new owners had'nt been in long,but last time we were there the restaurant part was packed,this time just us & another couple so assumed the food had gone downhill a bit,and it had,did'nt really enjoy it.But nothing a change of chefs would'nt solve.Artist due on at 8.30pm,arrived about 9.30 & seemed more interested in a few drinks & fags,left before she started so cant comment on her act(thats if she did sing!)

Last time I was in the Dog & Otter, was 1972, didnt have meals then, but a great pub, good to know its still popular.

The guys who ran the Dog and Otter a couple of years ago now run the Royal Oak at Pleckgate and still turn out great meals
