ON SUNDAY THE 20th JUNE IN THE MINERS ARMS ON BLACKBURN ROAD START ABOUT 2PM .
so any new members who would like to join us are welcome
you can meet some of the members you have been posting and pming too
and you will have a great time come on its fun .

if your in dout just ask anyone thats been to one of the meetings

you can even bring a camera but expect your pics to be mucked about with hehe

Kippax does have a valid point......I had'nt a clue that this was Fathers Day when this date was suggested. I can understand that many members on here with family responsibilities (unlike me) would want to keep this day - like Mothers Day - free of any other distractions. Maybe we should plan a little bit further ahead for these meetings and - possibly use the voting options - when "meet up" dates and locations are suggested.

You're right, Mick...it was...I suggested 20th because it's nearest to mid-summer and I thought that would be a good date...we did have it on here and no one suggested any different - thats why we went for it. Anyway, no matter...there's really no harm done and we can't expect everyone to turn up, because whatever date we choose someone will not be able to make it. I think it's to late to cancel anyway...people have already made arrangements. What I think we can do is start thinking about the next meeting after this one, remembering of course that the hols are coming up late July/early August. We need to aim for a date/time/location that maximises the number of people that can turn up, so what I suggest is that we look for an approximate date, let people suggest exact dates/locations and then have a vote on it.

It was another great day out! Who escorted Willy and Baabara home??? Hope they enjoyed themselves they certainly seemed to get on with everyone!!!! And considering we were all quite good and managed to get home before the wee hours - I wasn't able to get to work this morning! Next one has to be on a Saturday!!!

Mac, you mean August 1st as a definite meeting.......no one has yet suggested another meeting between now and then, although someone suggested moving to a saturday night rather than sunday afternoon....I just need to know about 2 weeks in advance, 'cos I got a bit further to go than most of the others.
