it certainly is Eric, all the tree's at the side of the 'park' bit get covered in them round about now

Loved that park when I was a kid .... lived just across the road from the playground, on Rishton Rd. I remember we used to wax the slide so that we could really shoot off the end. Suppose that kind of thing would be illegal now .... ah well, enough wallowing in nostalgia.;):D

its a good job my lad doesnt really read this forum aint it lol...he'd be giving that a go next time he went to the park ;)

The only time I got hurt was when my grandad found out I'd been stealing his candles to wax the slide ..... I guess being chased around the house by a belt-weilding grandfather is illegal now too ... and then there was the time I was taking sips out of his whiskey and replacing it with water .... picture a kid half in the bag from sipping Teacher's Highland Cream shooting off the end of the slide with a fag in his gob:theband: (did I get that last bit right:confused:). Before I wander too much, I'll wander off to the fridge for a cold one.:D
