ER Doug i think you are way off just 1 round of drinks at the accyweb meetings is over £15
and if your prepaird to stand the hole bar bill then i am sure you will be welcome to join us

Kipax.........look at that opening post again. It is not an introduction, it is not an hello, it is not an opening to a dialogue.....it is an advertisment, nothing more. Furthermore it is an advertisement for a so called "music" event involving a series of individuals fooling around with records on a turntable. Some of us find this nonsense - masquerading as music - to be highly offensive, to the ear, to the mind and to music. If "Country Club" makes another appearance of a similar manner then he will get the same response.

I initially had a one line reply to the advert....then the exchanges began.

Is this a commercial venture or not? I know they say that all profits will go to charity, but what about management fees? - they can be VERY lucrative. Are all the "artistes" giving their services free?

I dunno about this one - does it count as an "event"? - otherwise it is just an ad. Try the Observer/Telegraph next time - they don't charge much.
