The repayments are a lot more expensive if you trade them in for a newer model, Doug.

Re: bank holiday saturday

Yep, your right the Pendy, except that newer a model is cheaper to service and you'd get a bit more mileage on the clock, not mention a firmer ride.

sorry folks but this thread is going off topic so please bring it back on thankyou

Re: bank holiday saturday

Yeah, right, but what about the services newer models expect? And ... the old model will probably get the house, so you'll need a new one of those, too. And who says a newer model gives a firmer ride? - some have very sloppy suspension, tha knows! Not to mention running in .....

Len are you sharing a taxi with us? just let us know

Re: bank holiday saturday

Lifts in is one thing - if all goes according to as it sounds, can somebody please decant me into a taxi and point me in the direction of Ossy. I will do what one of our solicitors does when he goes out on a bender, print a large notice saying who I am, where I live, and giving my credit card number so the cab can be paid. I have a nasty feeling my other half will want to come along to ensure that I behave (not that he will). Is that allowed? or should I tell him to come along for the last few and collect me? (If he still wants to at that stage, of course).
