took a trip to Manchester yesterday and came across this.....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Atherstone_(M38) excuse the pics, i only had my phone with me, the boat was quite small compared to some i've seen, you are allowed on the boat until 2pm, we got there just after so we couldn't go on it

Wikipedia seems to be very sketchy. Atherstone is in the midlands near Coventry, which the town it was obviously named after, a member on here lived there if I'm not mistaken, but haven't seen them on here for a few years

ah thanx Dave, i suppose i could have googled a bit more but i couldn't be bothered ;)

Cashy, its anchored at Salford Quays, looked rather impressive but i was gutted we didn't get to go on it

me and Reece only came across it by accident, we where on the metro going to the Lowry when we went past it, in the end we didn't get to the Lowry (been before) we just went to look at what was going on down by the water

You're welcome Shaz, pity you couldn't get aboard I'm sure Reece would've loved it & the Tars are pretty good with the Kids they get on board. Never mind better luck next time.
