Foxhill Pub

I've heard on the Grape Vine that the Foxhill Pub is reopening or already has, anybody know out about it?

Re: Foxhill Pub

Your little chum, Cllr. Britcliffe, mooted the idea that it could be opened as a 'young peoples' pub', with no licence for alcohol.

Hopefully that idea's been put on the back burner, due to lack of funding, because of the cuts we're currently seeing.

I've heard the same whispers as well and seen people going in and out lately. It certainly looks like they're doing it up.

I heard that it isn't the last landlord that's opening it but the one before that - or it might be the ex landlord of another pub that's opening it - I can't remember which.

The sign outside read 'Opening Sept 1st' when I walked past on sunday. That is today, not tomorrow night. Typical Ossy - can't get 'owt right.

Walked past?

Doesn't that break the terms of your ASBO, which fordids you entering the town?

You'll be going down for this.

On some pubs re-opening they have an 'invite only' night first.
Perhaps this is happening and explains the day/date confusion.

You haven't been out for a while have you?

Nowadays, they are that desperate, even you would be welcome!

Foxhill pub

Which is The Foxhill?

Lots of internal work seem to be going on at The Bees Knees also, in St James Street, Accrington. An "auction" sign has also appeared. So something could be happening there also.

The Foxhill pub is on Union Road, Oswaldtwistle - opposite the clinic.

It was what we all knew as the old Local cashy, I used to go in through the back door, as it was easy to pop out of my home down the back and straight in, saved 5 minutes drinking time each way:D

Don't ring a bell Doug, mind you it was a real local, all the regs came from nearby, very few outsiders came in, can't even think where Sharples St is, or was:confused:
