I "think" they are in the same location so possibly the same

Only my opinion but 1671 was a birch bolete and 1672 was a cracked bolete, The first was maybe a razor strop and the little brown one could be many of millions but lovely to see. Keep um coming.

Any idea what this "chocolate muffin" looking one is

And this one

I got hold of to try and stand it up a bit, the only way I can think of describing the feel was jelly in a plastic bag, felt awful

The first one looks like a birch bolete, the best way of telling first if it is the bolete family is if it is spongey underneath rather than gills which I am pretty sure this one is, the second one have never seen, so lucky you, it could be a young old man of the woods, really not sure. First thing to check is where they are growing, under what trees. Keep on with the photos

Thanks, cant remember having a look underneath that on so not sure, the 2nd one might be deceiving with the brown spots on it, these are actually dead petals that have fallen onto it, they were everywhere, I brushed off what I could but the rest were stuck. Never noticed what they were growing under, it was 120 mile away from here so I'll never know now, but I know to take notice next time :)
