Jen - I looked on the website and it looked like a really good day today - would love to have gone. Trying to keep away from crowds and avoid infection at the moment as I'm having chemotherapy.

Glad you had a good time and enjoyed the food! Look forward to seeing the pics.

Jen be careful with the number of pics - Mick limited it to ten on the today in pictures thread - he may do the same on here. Frustrating isn't it when you've got so many!

Awww - love that horse and cart - and the plumbing man!

Di's right that fudge does look yummy - surprised you haven't eaten it all already!

Good to see so many people everywhere - lots to do, obviously, esp in the park and the square.

have been listening to radio lancs and theyre saying there was 75,000 people in preston on saturday ... but you can see what it was like in winckley square .. it was the main route to avenham park ... and with the food festival as well .. it was hard work to get through it all and to see what they were selling on the stalls ... :D there were 99 floats in the procession ... hearses, care homes, car firms, haulage firms, shops ... some had put a lot of thought into it ... the thomas cook staff were dancing round ....:D:D:D wouldnt like to have had their feet on sat nite .. high heels ... :D:D:D

Good idea to put the food festival in Winckley Square where people had to pass to get to the park - how I wish I could have been there - I was a student in Preston for four years - brings back memories though never saw a Preston Guild...

Just to let you know that a lot of the food stall holders have a regular market 2/3 times a year in Preston, it normally, Easter and August.:)

The good news is that they will be holding a 2 day market in December it’s the 8th and 9th and will be held on the flag market.:D

So if you missed out on any of the really good food at the Guild you can have a second chance to enjoy the grub.;)

If you make it over feel free to pop into the first aid post and say hello, but we don’t want you in as patients.:dummy2:
