xmas do:

WELL, not much response to my other suggestion for xmas, so, hows this grab you, on saturday 11th december, meet in stag pub, at about 2pm, then onto mini bus (coach, to the hare & hounds at colne for a meal, then return to the stag for our usual meet & liquid refreshment. i cannot give details on prices meals e.t.c. will do according to response. i do have it on good authority however that the meals are good (all fresh produce) & prices are not exhorbitant.

Nopt sure we'd be able to fit this one in what with everything else that goes on around Christmas. Kind of hectic with Church and school and kids etc etc.

staggeringman 04-11-2004 16:30

Re: xmas do:

:drink:the hare and hounds is on the old skipton road from colne to skipton,it is up on the moors and is a nice country pub with a good selection of wines and real ale. the food is excellent, the price is also good...example 32oz steak 15.95...16oz t.bone about 11 quid, garlic mushrooms(not the frozen variety from brewers fayre) about 3.00 quid if anyone wants a good meal out you wont be disapointed.
the easiest way to get there is along the moterway to colne go straight through to the last roundabout, and take the immediate left to lothersdale and follow the road past colne golf club and carry on the pub is on your left.

rockrabbit 04-11-2004 17:20

Re: xmas do:

Re: xmas do:

all this talk of skipton, its my home town.

WillowTheWhisp 11-11-2004 22:53

Re: xmas do:

The barges used to go from Foulridge but it's years since I went so I don't know if they still do or not.

As far as booking goes, what day are we talking about? Another one of my problems is Busman and his funny hours. He works unpredictably. He's workignt his Saturday evening which is why we won't be about.

There must be a lot of Hares and Houndses.

Skipton is a lovely place Poodle.

mez 25-11-2004 22:44

Re: xmas do:

TA .

Now I am going to be in trouble Mez! My "works" do is also on the 11th so I will be unable to come with you all :( I have explained to Willow that she cannot come as it is an "employees only" type pub crawl!
Maybe she will find a way of joining you all that evening without me, but whatever, have a really good evening, all of you xx

mez 25-11-2004 23:04

Sparkologist 01-12-2004 16:36

Re: xmas do:

It sounds good does that, Mez. Unfortunately, there is a very strong possibility that I will be working in Hull that weekend. The company I work for might have a contract to move a machine at Smith & Nephew Medical Products factory. The likelihood is that the machine is de-wired and moved over that weekend, then re-installed and commissioned over the Christmas shut-down. I'm sure Lettie would tell me how good it was. :o
