Punk and New Wave night 22nd Feb - Rose n Crown

Hey all

We make our debut at the Rose and Crown in Accrington on Friday 22nd Feb. If you love your classic punk and new wave (Blondie, Ramones, Pistols, Clash, Jam, The Knack, Buzzcocks, Tom Robinson, Eddie and the Hotrods et al), then feel free to come along and pogo until you can't feel your legs anymore!

We don't do either im afraid. I (the guitarist) am a massive Maiden fan, and would love to do some, but alas we can only cover punk/new wave from 1976-1981 - the REAL punk years. That said, you would have a great night!

Ossy is part of Accrington. but to just say Accrington it gets confusing. Though I don't think there is any other pubs named rose and crown ?

Ossy is NOT part of Accrington. they are neighbouring towns and both towns are part of Hyndburn.

Ossy was an Urban District, ie a small town less than about 30,000, before Hyndburn was formed in 1974.

does it have a market charter? i know there is the old town hall, and i think it has a "parish council", after the formation of Hyndburn

My MISTAKE. Thought it was like Clayton where you write Accrington under it on addresses.
