Re: Easter Meeting

You'll have to get some good Easter Bonnet pics for the gallery as me and Sparks will be away. Have a great time though and just think of the fortune you'll save on Parma Violets when I'm not there.:D

Re: Easter Meeting

Will check in the diary at work tomorrow! Hope to be there;but I don't really do hats[other than my Accy Stanley woolly one!]

Re: Easter Meeting

We won't be there this time because this is "get the caravan out" season and we'll be up at Carnforth hopefully if the thing is still in one piece after the awful winter we've had. Not seen it yet. I'm hoping we'll manage to keep warm up there and not get snowed in! It's still funny weather isn't it?

We'll want to see lots of photos of you all in funny hats. :D

Thanks for popping round Mez, great to see you. Thanks for bringing measurements of The Stag, as l've now managed to worked out my hat will need to be in four pieces to get through the door!

Trying to steal the show eh garinda ?? :p

Sparkologist 04-03-2005 15:54

Re: Easter Meeting

Sorry Mez, I can't make this p***-up. I will be in Nelson, on the north coast of New Zealand's South Island on that date, along with Lettie.

You wouldn't have got me wearing a hat anyway. The only time I wear a hat is when regulations enforce it, in industrial environments, and that is under extreme duress. Even then, the crash hat has a tendency to go airbourne and get kicked around at regular intervals. :D

lettie 04-03-2005 16:03

Re: Easter Meeting

Hehehehe.... seeing as Nelson is the home of 'wearable art' I'm sure I will find you an unusual hat, probably made of old JCB tyres or fish bones to wear on the day Sparky.:D ;)

Do we have to make our hats, or can I wear a posh one? I LOVE hats - wear one whenever I can get away with it .... so you can count me in on this one! I need to bring my hat up ready for Willow & Busman's wedding anyway ....

Re: Easter Meeting

I was hoping to been their but it wasn't to be. It would be nice if we could have some names to all the new faces we keep seeing. Sorry to hear that things were spoiled for you Lindsay, anything we can do? Other than that I’m glad you all had a good day. One question…..Why did no one get any photos of the gargoyles? Up top of the tower.

lindsay ormerod 27-03-2005 16:42

Re: Easter Meeting

Thanks for the offer Doug;but it will fine,I'l just put it down to experience and try to be more careful where I put my purse down in future!
Felt a bit like a gargoyle earlier on but tip top again now;it was all happening last night...Easter hats, strange men with denture problems,"camp"clergy....you really had to be there!

Tinkerbelle 27-03-2005 17:24

Re: Easter Meeting

I gave Lindsay the name of the guy who deals with the taxi's at HBC Doug so that she can make a complaint if she wants too. The theiving swines  !

lindsay ormerod 28-03-2005 18:38

Re: Easter Meeting

The mascot!!! Well;I got congratulated by several of the Webbers for keeping a straight face when he was talking to me;I've seen some sights but Bl**dy hell;it fair turns your stomach!

fireman 28-03-2005 18:43

Re: Easter Meeting

Yes you did do well Lindsay but I think you would have moved rather quickly if he had gone to plant a kiss on you as he did others!!!!!!!!!!!

garinda 28-03-2005 18:49

Re: Easter Meeting

Re: Easter Meeting

Alas I couldn't stay long.
It was nice as always, to see some new faces.
A good night had by all.

Margaret Pilkington 31-03-2005 20:11

Re: Easter Meeting

It seems as though I missed a real shidig........I did raise a glass to toast you all while I was in welsh Wales.
I still haven't got my 'Wheels' badge......so I'm still only an apprentice.
I failed for pushing the wheel chair into the road without looking first if there was any traffic.
I reckoned the I am big enough to see.......and I had had enough of Muti giving her orders (LOL).......I would have pushed her off the Orme..... but twas foggy and I took a wrong turn and ended up at the pub.....hehehe

pendy 01-04-2005 15:18

Re: Easter Meeting

I'm sure plenty of other people have said it, but many many thanks to Paul for the walk (but he could have arranged the weather better!), and especially to Mandy for her sterling hard work providing sausage baps, hot cross buns, and especially towels to the drowned rats that got back from the walk! - and also for the delicious baked potatoes and fillings in the evening.

Mandy - you are a STAR!!!
