Just been looking round the web and came across this site:-
The History Of Toilet Paper I didn't realise how much of the stuff we go through, Quote:
In general we only use the middle piece of each sheet so if we keep a pair of scissors & the white sack supplied by our generous council next to the toilet we can get into the habit of just cutting round the used bits flushing them away and placing the rest (possibly as much as a quarter to three quarters of a sheet depending on the previous nights curry intake), into the sack for recycling. I was going to put a couple of pictures on site to demonstrate the amount of paper just one visit to the bog could save but unfortunately I have been a bit constipated lately so we will have to wait to see what turns up. |
