Thread wandering...

People keep getting worked up about thread wandering so let's see how far we can wander.

The aim of this thread is to answer the previous post and then change the subject completely all in the space of a sentence or two. Anyone want to give it a go?

Bazf 02-07-2005 00:58

Re: Thread wandering...

Your actually having a thread about thread wandering its unbeliveable but do you remember when you could wander around Accy with about being acousted by gypos and chavs?

WillowTheWhisp 02-07-2005 07:54

Re: Thread wandering...

Are we allowed to say gypos in this thread?

I remember when I could thread a needle without having to wear glasses.

Gayle 02-07-2005 08:53

Re: Thread wandering...

I've always struggled to thread needles, but I've never had any problem finding them in haystacks.

No claws, Mick just thought it would be good for people who haven't read it to get the chance!

harwood red 02-07-2005 13:26

Re: Thread wandering...

you can find some really interesting things in the archives but it's funny how I'm sat on my comp when live 8's on tv, wonder why that is??

Sara 02-07-2005 14:50

Re: Thread wandering...

sat on at my pc whilst live8 is on the TV, so i can still hear it whilst having a cup of tea. Typhoo teabags are half price in home and bargain. Asda is very busy today it's like Christmas all over again.

lettie 02-07-2005 18:41

Re: Thread wandering...

I went to Asda this morning and it was ok, not too busy. Off to work tonight....

Margaret Pilkington 02-07-2005 19:08

Re: Thread wandering...

I feel sorry for you Lettie........Saturday night at work, what could be worse......Summer Saturday night at work.......you can smell the barbecues and all you have got to look forward to is a dried up sandwich...or worse, the Machine is empty when you get there......my stomach is rumbling for you!

Bazf 03-07-2005 00:15

Re: Thread wandering...

Its only Saturday afternoon here so I am looking forward to a night out, a little Mexican place we go to is having a special with Marguritas 2 for 1.

chav1 03-07-2005 10:56

Re: Thread wandering...

Marguritas may be on special offer but you cant breed fish with geese it just wont work :idunno:

Potatoes I'm quite partial to pea pods myself. When is pea pod season?

Gayle 03-07-2005 12:03

Re: Thread wandering...

Very soon. I remember picking pea pods at my great grandma's in Ribchester, many moons ago. Did you know Ribchester is famous for its Roman history?

Sara 03-07-2005 15:47

Re: Thread wandering...

Had a picnic in the Roman baths at Ribchester the other day. Could just eat some strawberries and cream washed down by a bottle of Moet. Who won at Wimbledon.

harwood red 03-07-2005 17:53

Re: Thread wandering...

that's it wimbledon is all over. At least more cars competed in the grand prix today!

Uncle Mick 03-07-2005 19:22

Re: Thread wandering...

Missed the Grand Prix as i was at the North West Wolseley car club rally at Worden Park in Leyland. Did you know that as well as making cars Wolseley also made sheep shearing machinery!

vorlon24 03-07-2005 19:35

Re: Thread wandering...

I thought Wolseley was the name of one of Henry VIII's friends.

We went strawberry picking today

Margaret Pilkington 03-07-2005 20:34

Re: Thread wandering...

I thought Wolseys were a brand of socks.......this thread wandering is much harder to do when you're really trying........I'm really trying!

harwood red 03-07-2005 21:18

trying to hard sometimes doesn't work, I'm going back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks off with a bad back, at least I won't be bored anymore!!

I didn't know the Pea pod had a season, I always thought that was the name of the ship captain Ahab sailed on when he tried to catch Moby Dick!

harwood red 05-07-2005 11:14

fruit flies?? bet thy're smaller than fruit bats!! Cricket is such a boring game to watch

pendy 05-07-2005 11:19

Re: Thread wandering...

Got kept awake by crickets once in France - drove me bats!

I liked the snails, though.

harwood red 05-07-2005 11:34

Re: Thread wandering...

Sara 05-07-2005 15:32

slinky 05-07-2005 15:42

Sara 05-07-2005 15:57

Re: Thread wandering...

slinky 05-07-2005 15:59

Re: Thread wandering...

Last week I went shopping for fish and came home with a new husband, but thats for the trisha show. Talking of Trisha show.........did anyone ever realise how many muppets live in this country??

Sara 05-07-2005 16:04

Re: Thread wandering...

WillowTheWhisp 24-01-2006 08:09

Re: Thread wandering...

Pickled eggs and M&Ms are all very well but have you read Gayle's opening post and what she actually asked us to do? We are so good at thread wandering that we've even wandered off the original idea anyway.:p

Not that I need any help wandering. My mind wanders all over the place and you should see the state of this place with the cats chasing each other and knocking things over. The waste paper basket just went for a Burton and everything in it scattered all over the floor.
