View the World

I didn't know where to put this ---- so I put it here!

Go to the site and d/load "googleearth" (Put it on desktop) With a little bit of practice on the buttons, you can zoom in to anywhere in the world. London, New York, Hong Kong ---or the outer Hebrides!!

I would think that those NOT on B/Band would find this a tad slow.......sorry:p

OK I tried to download it but it won't work on my PC ........ no I'm not saying why ....... do I look silly enough to leave myself open to ridicule (no answer needed there please ;) ) but my neighbour downloaded it and was showing me earlier but he asked me a question I don't know the answer to so i said I'd ask.

Does Google Earth live stream? He zoomed in onto the M62 and all the traffic was stationary.

No Tinks, it is a by-product of satalite photography and also military photography as far as I am aware......although most british motorways would appear stationary at rush hour times ;) :D

Nice one Busman..................but i too have the same problem as mummiboo, when i try to zoom in it goes distorted.

I presume you guys are talking about "earth.google.com"
When you say the image distorts what do you mean exactly?

When running google earth most of the places in the UK are in low resolution so when you zoom in on Accy for instance it will look really bizzare.

Try looking around Manchester, Coronation St/ Granada studios etc, they are all in high res.
A lot of the really interesting places around the world are in High res, such as Niagra falls, Pompeii etc.

Crap for Accy I know but great for everywhere else.

I have sussed it............................ I got really close to Haslingden old road, could see cars parked and everything.
This site is very good Busman, I have really enjoyed looking on it. I now have Ginger hooked.
