Grandparents Day.

Apparantly it's Grandparents Day on Sat September 24th.
I saw it advertised in the card shop.
Were on earth did this spring from?

It's probably initiated by Hallmark.

I have told my parent's and Chris's mum that under no circumstances will we be celebrating grandparent day. Every day is grandparent day for goodness sake!

Yep. I agree with Gayle on this one - a pure invention by the card industry designed to part us from more of our cash.

We'll be having "third cousin one removed day" in a bit. :rolleyes:

its been going for about 5 maybe 6 years now, there hasnt been so much fuss about it as there is mothers and fathers day. :)

its strange isn't it!!! these people are special...but so is every other member of our family!!! whats next, brothers day?? sisters day?? pets day?? i think that instead of being treated like they are special for one day out of the year, they should be treated like the most special people everyday!!!!

Hey mum i have a great idea how about i bring 2 of your wonderful Grandchildren to come and stay with you for Grandparents day that way you and my dad get to spend the day with your little stars all day and night you could all cuddle up on the sofa and tell stories.

I know it will be great ( well for me it would be anyway ) yes i think i like the idea of Grandparents day.
