I have an issue, give the girl a tissue!
 

I’m about to leave my 20 something years behind me in the next couple of days and I’m not very happy about it …. In fact that’s an understatement; I’m downright depressed about it. I keep bursting into tears every time I remember. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_44.gif



I was nattering with Slinks this morning on ways to deal with it; she had 2 suggestions …… The 1st one was lie about my age, which is a good idea (but I’ll always know the truth) and the 2nd one was top myself before my birthday, I told her I’d already considered that one, but with my families sense of humour someone would put on my gravestone 'RIP Tinks She died 2 days before her 30th birthday'!



Please any benefits, advice or suggestions on getting older would be much appreciated before I totally lose the plot!! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_29_111.gif

I cried myself silly on my 30th birthday.......I thought life had ended, felt very DOWN.
My 40's I relished......my 50's have been the most empowering decade of all......and if you ask me in a couple of years I'll tell you how I take to being 60.

There is one thing I will say......be happy at whatever age you are.....each age has its compensations......and I still feel like an 18year old inside.

Very true margaret, im really curious to have me 30's my 20's was such a hard decade & grew up far too quick in it. I cant wait for me biggy cos i never thought i'd live to that.

There's nothing to it Tinks.. I've had a wail of a time in my 30's. I can afford to do more stuff now than I could in my 20's. I'm not afraid of saying what I think because people won't like me. Generally I have more confidence and work harder to get what I want than I did in my 20's... Look forward to being 30 Tinks, it's great....:D


Now don't forget, you may have to do a similar little speech on me in a couple of years when I'm approaching 40...:o

lmao Slinky I've already considered spending my '30 something' years as an alcoholic so that I forget what day it is, never mind what age I am.


Mel you had better not have a Stanley shirt with TINKS and the number 30 printed on the back planned for Friday or I will scream and scream until I'm sick!!!


So it's not just me being mard Margaret? It gives me some kind of comfort knowing other people felt like this ...... and yes feeling like 'life as ended' pretty much sums it up at the moment :(!
