I'm not quite sure where the soap comes into it. My first reaction to the question was "Of course I'd pick it up and give it back to her" but then if it was something which might embarrass her if she knew someone knew she had it then I don't think I would.

After a serious amount of thought and pain yes I would return it. After all even nuns are human.
