Dear God.
Whilst looking for seasonal websites I came across this.
At first I thought it was a spoof, but no it is a real site, selling real goods. Who on earth would buy this tat? http://www.catholicshopper.com/produ..._statues2.html |
Re: Dear God.
:D I'm sorry but I have to say - surely only in America.

Re: Dear God.
Or you can buy a life size Nativity for $31,050.00.
Though it's only life size if you are five foot four tall! Not being offensive by the way, just fascinated. http://www.discountcatholicstore.com/nativity_set_2.htm |
Re: Dear God.
Quick !

Re: Dear God.
Suppose it is 'their' way of letting their children know that Jesus is watching over them in their everyday pursuits.. that would be their answer anyway.
Are trashy, aren't they :rofl38: Having said that, going into a Catholic church when I was little used to scare the 'sh*t' outa' me. All those icons, blood dripping from hands and sombre atmosphere. Preferred Madam Tussaud's 'House of Horrors. I was brought up a Methodist and completely different .. they don't even mind you chatting in their chapels. No disrespect, just what you are used to. |
Re: Dear God.
I agree with you Kate, I think it gives kids the right message that Jesus is watching over them in their everyday life. Tat, yes, but what a potential boost to the morale of a dissilusioned generation of materialistic young people who think that their only saviour is the latest cellphone or playstation.
