Well Christmas is a week away. I haven't even nearly finished yet.

I still have a couple of pressie's to buy, all my food shopping, works xmas party on Thursday and working some days over Xmas.

Today I signed up for my NVQ level 3 in Health and social care. This has all got to be completed by March and my first Assessments on 2 units has to be complete and ready for 10 January.....:eek:


I'm scared now!!!! REALLY scared!!!

If I get through these next 12 weeks without killing myself it will be s sodding miracle. :(


How come at this time of year everything smacks you in te face sooooo suddenly?? :( I'm sure things don't get piled on you like this any other time of the year!!!

Yesterday i was reading my stars in a magazine and this is what it said .......

This week is all about Health - spiritual, emotional and physical. If you're involved in the medical or caring profession you'll be busy. Even cancerians in ordinary jobs will be asked to perform miracles....:eek::eek::eek:

I never believe them and when I read them yesterday I thought " oh yeah ok" today i bloody believe them.

My brain is frazzled!! I can't remember dates I'm supposed to do things on. Please can you remind me when I have to go on my Party, when It's christmas eve, when it's boxing day, new years eve, new years day and what day's I'm supposed to be working, when I have to get my food, pressie's and most of all when to sleep :( because I am gonna forget a lot of things this year I can see it coming......................

OMG Mick I'm 90% sure I won't be able to attend this meeting. I would really love to but, I'm panicing at the moment about time and how very little I actually have to get everything done.and I am working 23rd and 24th as it is.:(:( OMG I'm gonna explode :(:(

Thanks willow!! I really didn't have an option. I have been waiting 3 years to get the funding for my NVQ level 3 and if I didn't take this opportunity I don't know when I would have got funding again.

5 of us have been placed on this short term NVQ training and my manager said she was only choosing the people she knew would be able to deal with the pressure of the time we have. But I didn't think it would have been soooo close to christmas. When I pass!! I want the Biggest celebratory drink EVER!!! :o

Just got my xmas week shopping & with the fiasco i had last week with Iceland i decided to check Asda out .................mmmmmmmm............ well i get my Tiara out & throw a stroppy, cos i spent more than a fortune - than i ever had at this time of year & yet got relatively same stuff tho a lot of consumables, asda is sh*te for it frozen section - so means will have to go to Iceland anyway tommorow to get my chicken & stuff i couldnt get in asda, so looking this week that my weekly income has been spent on shopping alone GGGRRRRR:angry: I hate shopping!! especially busy as well.

Still got a few pressies to buy for yet & one being so difficult to buy for thinking about it gives me a headache!!! & im not one for disappointing people with bad pressie choices - that would be the worst!!

As for the 23rd for meet well your timing is crap cos i doubt that there will be much money if owt in the pot for it, as MUCH as i REALLY wanted to go, so its looking a no atm so the pub for me is at home besides after this week be too knackered [least asda came useful for that dept LOL], ah well i was got anyway by the head of accyweb mafia today, she crashed my trolly:eek: :rofl38:

Well ............... I have completed my first two units!!!! it has took me 4 hours of none-stop writting to try and get it completed so i can just relax and try and salvage christmas :(.......... BUT I have done it. My fingers are red raw and have a huge Dint in them where my pen has been pressing for 4 hours...:( My hand is killing me and I'm only just able to type :rolleyes:..........BUT I've done it now and i can breath easy for the next couple of days.

Christmas shouldn't be happening yet it's come far to quick. Still got heaps to do. Couple of forgotten cards to buy, prezzies to buy prezzies to wrap, food shopping to get.
It's a nightmare.
If I can pass my level 3 Slinky, you will have no problems. It was blood, sweat and tears all the way. At one point I even through a paddy in-front of my tutor and flung my file across the room. Then nipped my skin in the ring when I was putting it back together drawing blood.
Luckily she had more faith in me than I did.
Was convinced that I would fail. GOOD LUCK with it chick.

Thanks Anne :D I actually feel a little better now I have got 2 of the units done!! It might have taken me 4 hours but it's out of the way.

I am one of those people I can't rest til things are done! and I wouldn't have been able to enjoy Christmas with that lingering over me.

Oh well 2 units down - 6 to go!! but these can be done after Christmas now.

Good Luck. Know how you feel only got 2 presents so far not even wrote any crimbo cards yet so unorganised. Normally i've done everything by now. Just does not feel like xmas (either that or I'm just getting old lol).:(

Good luck slinks, it's amazing what us women can do when we have our backs to the wall!!!

As for xmas I have written practically no cards but have told most people that a donation has gone to charity instead....most pressies bought, just got the flippin wrapping to do and god knows when i'll fit that in as working all week and out some nights and have company round the others.

Hmmm wonder if "company" fancy a beer, wrapping paper and sellotape :D

Women are the multi tasking experts and untouchable at time management so I think the assesment will be ready a few days befor it has to be presented. :D

If that dosnt work then head down to it and arse in the air to the rest of the world till its done. :eek: :p ;)

Hey ladies, maybe that means you're spending to much time on each other and should be focused more on all us nice wornderful men eh? Okay, I realize that's quite a bit of a stretch, just trying to cause a bit of a chuckle.

Seriously though, in my opinion, there is nothing more important than having fanily and friends around this time of year, ****** the presents, fancy meals, decorations, etc., if it gets to much. All I need for Christmas is Cinnyose, Annie, and Joshua watching some home movies, playing board games, etc. That's my peace. What's yours!

Although it will be hard work, doing all the things you are trying to juggle at the same time, you are a woman, and so they say a master (or should that be mistress?) at multi-tasking, so you'll get through.

I feel 100% better today about the whole Xmas vs work commitments situation. I don't need to look at the file again now until 28th December, so i'm not gonna even think about it again.

I have just tried my works Christmas outfit on and it looks great even if I do say so myself.........( Thanks to tinks donation of a top ) ;) I have saved money because I have shoes that go very well with the whole outfit. So all that is ready.........

I will deliver pressie's tomoz along with all cards. Go into town to find a bag to go with my outfit and pick some other bits and bobs up......

Well it doesn't feel like that long ago I was panicking like a good un about getting my NVQ done.

Well it's very nearly completed now. I have had my 2 in house assessments. I have completed all my units. All that is needed now is a personal reflection statement and a witness statement then my file is complete, up to date, and ready to go to the internal verifier on the 6th march 2007.

I should then find out about my pass and certificate around 5/6 weeks after this.

I can feel a VERY VERY large drink coming on when it's all done and dusted. :D:D


Then I have to start thinking about my level 4 :( but I will cross that bridge when I come to it....:o

I remember the horror when I was told at Christmas that i only had til end of Feb to complete :eek::eek::eek:.....it just didn't seem possible.:rolleyes:
