I missed that bit......he did send me a personal message though & stuck "Achtung" on the header board... he 's OK..maybe I'll meet him at the Christmas bash....I should be in Accy that weekend..

Jo 06-10-2003 13:51

Re: Unfinished conversations in the serious sectio

Yeah, that was cool of Roy putting your Achtung message up! He knows how to take a joke! Wish I could be at the Xmas bash. If I got a mega cheap Ryan air flight, would you give me a lift from Stansted to Accy and back?

Jo 06-10-2003 13:57

Re: Unfinished conversations in the serious sectio

ps. Just checked and I can get a return for 70 €! Not bad! As I told oyu, I may be coming anyway to Accy for a weekend for family business, maybe I could make it that weekend.- Would save me posting all those biccies for the raffle, too, I could bring them personally....  :)

Tealeaf 06-10-2003 14:02

Re: Unfinished conversations in the serious sectio

does it take long?
I looked and the 14th Dec is a Sunday. That would mean I'll have to take Monday off work. I'll see if I can work it out somehow....

anyhow, I'm about to send you an e-mail with 2 photos I'm about to take from my office windows. The colours are so beautiful, thought I'd just share them with you. Give us five minutes to take the snaps then check your mail OK?  :)

Looking forward to it.....The only view i Have out of my window is a carpark, an off license and a male sauna whose claim to fame is it's the biggest in Europe....I shall say no more!

Jo 06-10-2003 14:19

Re: Unfinished conversations in the serious sectio

The place is a temple of sodomy.....Tradesmens entrance usually involves going round the back......oh, by the way, It's called Chariots Roman Spa...so I think there may be an Italian connection...it's also got a website, but don't look, whatever you do

Jo 06-10-2003 14:29

Re: Unfinished conversations in the serious sectio

Whos a naughty boy then???? Jo you can get a good deal from Stuttgart direct to Manchester.BMI Baby has stopped doing the regular flight from Munich to Derby. Now goes Munich to Cardiff.

Jo 06-10-2003 14:42

Re: Unfinished conversations in the serious sectio

Aah, you mean they're married to each other?
I thought you meant married guys (as in married to a woman) went there. Couldn't understand how you knew they're married.
SO how do the girls spot that they're married to each other then?

Jo 06-10-2003 14:43

Jo you can get a connection between stanstead and liverpool with Ryannair, I believe it's quite cheap. Always driven to Stansted in the past. If you get in on the sunday or even saturday from lunchtime onwards to either Man or Lpl, I can pick you up (don't get into Man myself till early hours saturday morning, so will need some sleep) ;D

Re: Unfinished conversations in the serious sectio

That's really nice of you Lettie! Thanks a lot! Are you flying into Manchester? Where will you be then before? I'll definitely look into the links from Stansted.
Wow, this could really happen!! I'm getting quite excited really!  :D

Re: Unfinished conversations in the serious sectio

I'm flying into Manchester from Heathrow. Coming from Thailand, where I'll be staying a couple of days on my way back from visiting relatives in New Zealand. I may be a little jet lagged that weekend, but am also visiting Hong Kong on the way there. Been saving my holidays and money all year for this. We are not normally allowed to have more than 2 weeks off at a time, but because it's November nobody else wanted the hols at that time, so the management agreed. ;D

Jo 07-10-2003 11:39

Re: Unfinished conversations in the serious sectio

Wow! Great stuff, you lucky thing! Relatives not originaklly from Clitheroe area are they? I have friends there.
You'll definitely be jetlagged, I always am. Sure you'll be up to the Xmas bash? ´
I'll keep in touch re. the possibility of my coming.
Thanks again dear!
:)

You should have checked out the breaks over 20 Jo i have 5 of them. Some people would say a misspent youth.A game i enjoy.Pool is too fast and does not involve as much thinking as snooker

Re: Unfinished conversations in the serious sectio

:D   Jo, relatives are from Accy, but not yet on the net. or they would be on here too. Seriously considering going out there myself and may try to get a year out. Gonna have a reckie for jobs while I'm there, but my brother who's there says they'll snatch my hand off, as they are desperate for midwives. Then again we are desperate in this country too, and most of my family are here, so I'm a bit torn at the moment.
Let me know if you need a lift from airport though! :)

Jo 08-10-2003 07:37

Re: Unfinished conversations in the serious sectio

Lettie, New Zealand is a hell of a long way away, it's one thing being in Italy and grabbing a flight back every few months, but it's quite another being in New Zealand. Definitely give it a lot of thought before moving out there. Though if it's only for a year, why not try it, as long as you know you can go back to England if you don't like. And remember - the grass is always greener somewhere else - but life becomes routine wherever you are at the end of the day!

Re. lift: when exactly do you get into Manchester?  :D

lettie 08-10-2003 15:50

Re: Unfinished conversations in the serious sectio

;D  Itinery not yet finalised, as Quantas have re-scheduled some of the flights without telling me, so it's gone to be amended. I think it is saturday morning early doors, but may even be friday yet, I have a couple of days to play with and as long as I get my stopovers where I want, I'm quite amenable to the flights. Should know for definate in the next couple of weeks. ;D
