Terrible Adverts

8)   Has anyone else noticed that there are always terrible adverts on when you are eating.

Examples are,  Remington Nose Hair remover,

                        Senokot

                        Otex ear wax remover

and anything to do with women's bits  Tenalady, tampons etc. ::)

Which adverts do you hate?

Do our members who live abroad get the same kind of adverts?

Is it just me???

Re: Terrible Adverts

Although the following are disturbing they make you reflect and realize

The Smoking One
Not wearing a seatbelt and the Drink Drive campaign

There are very disturbing scenes in these but it makes you think, One of my problems was I never wore a seatbelt, once you see the advert of someone flying through the windscreen you soon change your opinion and its the first thing that goes on when im in the car.

Re: Terrible Adverts

I think a lot of adverts have gotten to be very sleezy over the years, the people who promote the adverts seem to think that useing sex  will sell anything, are people so shallow as to fall for it. The answer is YES.

Re: Terrible Adverts

The Macdonalds adverts make me puke.....if we can ban fag adverts, then surely we can ban Macdonalds. The stuff is a rip-off, a health hazard and an insult to our intelligence.. [smiley=pain30.gif]

Re: Terrible Adverts

the worse ones over here are the condom ones that come over the radio, nothing worse than being stopped at traffic lights with the windows down to the sound of people having sex! (in a commercial!)

Re: Terrible Adverts

What flavour condoms do you get over there? Have you got chicken vindaloo? Strawberry Icecream?

Seen the ones that are supposed to taste like lager and lime and it says do not drink and drive

Mik Dickinson 07-10-2003 19:19

Re: Terrible Adverts

then again here are the directions for use on your standard condom maschine:-
1. insert money to full value
2. twist knob sharply to the left
3.Take goods out
OK no problem but after nr. 2 who is interested in using the condom. My eyes were still watering

Re: Terrible Adverts

>:(  Cosmetics adverts like face creams etc also try to baffle you with bull. What the hell are AHA's and micro whatsits and all the other pseudo-scientific rubbish they harp on about.

Sometimes I think it's a case of  if you can't convince em, confuse em. [smiley=idunno.gif]
