A small group of us usually put on our glad rags and go round town (Harwood) all the lads ware dickie bows etc. We then usually end up at someone house............... mine. hehe

going to have family and friends round and participate in charades over cheese and bicuits with maybe a glass of sherry to toast the new year and a jolly sing song to see in 2007 :)

or

go out and sling as many largers and reefs down my neck as possible and make about 20 new years resolutions that will all be broken by 1am :D

Blackburn I should think. I wonder if I can make it till 12? Last year I went to my friends house and went home at 11:50 feeling incredibly sick, the worst bit being I hadn't even had anything to drink :(

Well jim and me are off to casino with my son and his fiance . must admit jim reluctantly agreed to go ...hehe so I had to put my sweet little smile on and grovel ..haha...:) :)

Just hope I win now or Ill never live it down...havent been to a casino in years so will have to watch for a bit before parting with what bit of cash Ive put to ione side ..so wish me luck....

I'm probably having a nice warm duvet night. I was gonna have a party but can't be arsed with the agro of cleaning cos I have to work new years eve and new years day!!! so not gonna have a party this year.......

Locking the door!!! dragging duvet on settee - putting a film on, grabbing some munchies and chillin out. As soon as the bells chime, get up thank god it's all over and head off to bed ;)

Me and you both Sara .. however, put me in a reminiscing gear of times gone by. Loved the New Year's Eve Balls. My dad would be playing in the dance band and you wore your long taffeta dresses with proper dance shoes, soles that were furnished to slide on the waxed dance floors. Used to help to put that powder down. The mirrored globe centralised to give the maximum dancing lights and potato pie,tea and mince pies in the adjoining room.

After lots of Old Time Dancing, came the grand finale with the whole ballroom joining in for Auld Lang Syne and the promise of a quick kiss on the cheek at the last stroke of the clock. Then dance shoes in your bag in exchange for walking shoes that would take me up Burnley Road.(Taxis, what are they?)Back in the house, another brew, then off to my warm bed with a 'Happy New Year' call from me Mum and Dad.

Would love to have this type of night again ... hey, wake up Kate crunching glass under yer feet at the Bridge, holding up the guy next to you whilst he purses his slobbering beer stained lips in anticipation is probably the best that I can hope for ... :D

Agree 100% with Margaret, here in California its become the tradition to go out at midnight and your fire guns into the air (bullets go up, bullets come down, Doh ) it began first with the latino gangs in the barrios and then spread to the inner cities and now seems to be everywhere, even the burbs where people should know better

I went to the pub, ended up someone coming back and not going till midday then going to the boars head and meeting up with less, mick, harwood red, and shortstuff. and came home about 1/4 to 6 then fell asleep bro just woke me up ive found out i was watching toad of toad hall and im going to get some tea then im going to bed. Ineeed sleep!!!!!

We (a group) went round Harwood has planned and had a brilliant night. At the beginning the pubs were ridiculously busy but did seam to thin out around 10pm. We never came back to mine because we were still boozing at 3-4 am?? as some of the pubs had late licences? So there was no need to go back to anyone’s home for more beer. I think I finally got to bed around 5.30am ish. :D

My head hurts. Went to bed and just woke up about 10 mins ago!! so thought id come down and get a drink of orange just to keep me going. I knew i shouldnt have gone to bed to sleep it off.

Get it right Mel - Had a good night in the pub till all hell let loose and the bar closed. Then came back here eventually they all left but it wasnt worth it going to bed at 12 to get back up at 1.30 was it? Then just carried on down at the Boars Head topping the level up. Then i think i fell asleep for half an hour. Put my tea on then my bro turned up I sent him 5 text messages last night wishing him happy new year!!! Anyway he went after telling me off for not going to bed and told me to go to bed and get some sleep. Anyway my tea was ready and didnt want to eat it so i went to bed to get some sleep.

But my head hurts now it didnt before!
