Best Christmas Present Ever

Meet my new pup Gabbie :D

10 week old Rotty. She's adorable :) She's so well behaved for a pup too, it's quite hard to believe how chilled out and laid back she is. She's already toilet trained to paper .... but enjoys ripping the paper up  ..... which isn't really a problem.

Chuffed to bits with her :D

There is one next door to me and its a big softie. :) Like any dog if treated as part of the family they are bundles of joy and fun. Sadley some breeds get a bad name because of what people did to them and with them. Dont let the kids buy a saddle.

Tinkerbelle 31-12-2006 18:36

Re: Best Christmas Present Ever

She is a big softie spug and a family pet is what she is. She's was bought from an excellent breeder and we met her mum and dad (her dad was so big I even felt a little nervous meeting him) but the pair were adorable so I'm in no doubt she'll be as adorable as they are :)

Saddle her up lol! I'm going to make a fortune out of her on Blackpool beach selling 'Rotty Rides' to the kids when she's bigger :D

Dog looks like a beauty.

Would highly recommend you get her Chipped, £15.00 ish (ask vet when you go for jabs)

And Get her insured, Big dogs If they hurt themselves can get very expensive plus you would have Third Party Liability Cover Also.

Tinkerbelle 03-01-2007 15:48

Re: Best Christmas Present Ever

Cheers Mr D she's an absolute beauty :)

Insurance is in place ;)

Going to enquire about chip when she goes for her injections. I'm just hoping I can make the vets a positive experience for her so she has no worries when she has to go in the future. My staffy hated the vets, it was a 4 man job if he had to go!

Glad to hear you have the insurance is it a full insurance policy or just the free one you get via the KC when you register (IIRC it lasts for 6 weeks)

Im sure you can get the ID Chip done at the same time as the jabs and a must.

Hope all goes well for you.

Tinkerbelle 03-01-2007 16:02

Re: Best Christmas Present Ever

The free one with via the KC but she'll have a full policy before the 6 weeks is up. Any recommendations on a good company Mr D?

I totally agree with the chip, if for no other selfish reason than I would be devestated if she was stolen.

yee dad took his dogs to the kennels at west end and got them chipped for just a donation...its at the other side of the canal i think

Re: Best Christmas Present Ever

I missed this thread!

She looks absolutely adoreable Tinks.

When I worked in Gt Harwood the newsagent in Queen Street had a rottie and a poodle. If they were in the shop when we went in the rottie would run up stairs and peer at us over the top step. He was bossed about unmercilessly by the poodle. :D

She will need tons of excercise as she grows and I don't envy whoever takes her walkies :D - all that sleeping must be building her strength up for the future.;)

I use E&L - http://www.eandl.co.uk/insurance/pet

I find them cheap, but arnt the fastest at paying out should you have a claim.

Pet Plan I have been told are very good but a bit more pricey. - http://www.petplan.co.uk/insurance/n...WT.mc_ID=Yahoo

E&L offer a very cheap plan which is good is you wouldnt normally bother insuring you pet.

Tinkerbelle 04-01-2007 17:42

Re: Best Christmas Present Ever

Only just seen this. Cheers for the info Mr D. She's with the temporary Pet Plan at the minute, will have a good look at those :) Thanks
