This Is Your Wake Up Call

I was really late up this morning, the dreaded 'just 5 more minutes' ended up 2 hours :o

I hate mornings and always have. Not sure if it's the way I am woken. I don't have a radio alarm or I would just end up listening to the music and falling back asleep on a regular basis.

At 7.30am I am woken to the alarm on my mobile phone and then the alarm clock 5 minutes later making an almighty racket every few minutes when the snooze button is pressed. That lasts til about 7.45am when I eventually drag my morning induced moody a*se out of bed.

So what time does your alarm clock go off every morning and if you do have an clock radio what station does it play?

My mobile is my alarm, 6.30am

I leave it over the other side of the bedroom so I have to get out of bed :D

Re: This Is Your Wake Up Call

I think we better to explain to Tinks that there are two 5.30 & 6.30's in a day :Banane42:

Re: This Is Your Wake Up Call

Cough, 5:15, usually Century FM

If I'm lucky I get 2 snoozes (9 mins each.. I'll explain why they are 9 mins if anyone wants) then I'm up and on my way

usually at work in Kutsford by 7-7:30

6.53am when my alarm clicks on - I think it's radio 1 but to be honest I've never heard more than a second at any time because my arm flicks out of bed so fast. It's 6.53 because my alarm has a seven minute snooze so the next one is at 7.00 and I like round numbers.

Re: This Is Your Wake Up Call

Mine first goes off at 6:30am but I'm usually already awake by then because Busman's goes off earlier and he does the snooze button bit several times. I then go on to Radio 4 and between coming and going to and from the bathroom I catch snippets of news and stuff.

Re: This Is Your Wake Up Call

Do you really really want to know what time my alarm goes off? :D

My alarm clock goes off supposedly once a week at 8.15. That blares out Radio Lancashire. Then the mobile phone alarm goes off at 8.30 - thats a rooster crowing and gets louder and louder the longer you leave it. I normally turn that off round about 9.30 - when i'm leaving the house to go to work! Leave the radio it turns itself off.

Whats an alarm clock???:D heehehe

you saying theres more than 12 hrs in a day lmao!!!!

garinda 05-01-2007 23:11

Re: This Is Your Wake Up Call

I don't really do alarms anymore.

Sleep comes whenever now, and the alarm is only set to remind me to take my drugs.

When I was working I had to leave for the tube at 8 o'clock. I always got up an hour before at 7am. A leisurely bath, breakfast, coffee, and a cigarette, would set me up for the day.

I hate being late for anything, and hate even more feeling like you are chasing your tail all day long if you over sleep.

flashy 05-01-2007 23:14

Re: This Is Your Wake Up Call

i get a terrible headache if i oversleep, hence me having one today :( i'm usually up and out on some strange mission up and down the country :D

Re: This Is Your Wake Up Call

What’s an alarm clock? Traditional or otherwise.

Oh! Yes! It’s that little black box that goes off at 0830 once every 8 weeks because I have to be at the Warfarin clinic at 1115. Otherwise it just sits there ticking away the seconds.

Time does not rule my life anymore except on the odd day in 50.

The joys of being retired mean I get up when my body tells me that I have had enough sleep and I wake up, be it 0700 or 1200.

Re: This Is Your Wake Up Call

My alarm when I'm working is set for 6:30am. My alarm clock is at the other side of the room. But I have been known to walk all the way round the bedroom - turn it off and get back in bed for the dreaded "5 minute more" and wake up at 7:30am in which time I should be setting off out the ruddy door lol.:D On my days off I sleep til I want .... and believe me I'm a lazy biatch and that can be til 1pm sometimes :Dgood job Ginger is a early morning person and tends to the children. Ginger learnt very early on in our relationship - Do what ever you want to me BUT don't EVER EVER wake me up :)
