What gets you mad?


people get me mad when they judge a person by the way they look and size what gives the right for a person to be so cruel to other people its whats inside that counts, reason put this in is when me and angie were out some guys thought it would be funny to show a female up in a pub saying no one else would fit in pub with the female being in it! she was doing no harm to anyone out enjoying herself like the rest of us! >:(

what gets me angry is a lot of people do not have the manners to thank you when you hold  the door open for them some people just take it for granted young and old alike. I say bring back good manners and respect for other people

I recently held a door open for a woman who isisted I went first because I was there first.. A bit confused I just held the door open like I usualy do and jestured with a smile for her to go.. She did while telling me i was just beign an awkward so and so.

Old people are the most bad mannered.. Why do they pick Doorways and middle of shopping ieles and the like to have a gathering and a chat :(

Its called human nature, It also happens to black people. tall people. little people.

It aint right. we all know it aint even logical.  But we all do it.. even you. Theres no way you ahvent looked at someone and thought ......

The moron you mention is in a different class and wants stringing up...... But first impressions and judging people by there looks is human nature... not a good thing.. but there :(

Totally agree.
Usually the people who say this sort of thing out loud haven't the intelligence to say anything else!

Being short and slightly "round" myself I have come accross this occasionally.

Recently confronted someone about something in a civil manner. Because he couldn't think of anything to say he decided to give me abuse about my weight in front of a crowd of people.
Simply said to him -  OK, I may be quite big, I can diet -  but you're quite stupid, can you develop new brain cells?

People who make sweeping generalisations.

eg:
Large people are lazy & greedy
Single parents are wasters
Anyone on benefits is a scrounger
Teenagers today are all troublemakers

But as Harryx says, it's a part human nature. Not a good part, but a fact of life. We just have to put up with these narrow minded idiots, we're unlikely to change their opinions.

Work with old people Harry. They can be a bit like kds. Some can be bad mannered and some times quite shocking but on the other hand some are dead nice and have interesting tales to tell.
It's like everything else in life good, bad and indifferent.

Must be getting old, as the amount of litter thrown about in this country is shameful. A few weeks ago while walking the dog, I came across a car, driven by an elderly lady stopped at a giveway. Her grandson was in the passenger seat, he looked about 12. He wound down the window and threw out a crisp packet. I picked it up, knocked on the window and gave it him back. Had to smile when his gran clipped him round the ear. That'll teach him, (especially if she has a right hook like my gran) >:(

Irrisponsible dog owners that let their animals foul our pavements and leave it for folks to step in. If people want animals they should look after them after all the dog cant clean its own mess up.

And like you HarryX, always hold the door open for other people..
Most of the time with no thanks, but oh well, still do it.

I was brought up to to be well mannered & polite, which as my dad said.
costs nothing..

Once went out for a bike ride with my dad & he bought me a Milky Way. :)
I dropped the wrapper on the pavement & he gave me such a clout round the earole' :'(

He said "Take it home with you, and don't let me catch you dropping litter again!"

Never forgot that..( You want to see my pockets...lol ;D)

Well said Anne. I always clean up after my dog. There's really nothing worse than treading on a dog egg! for want of a better word. Especially when you are wearing sandals - which has happened to me in the past. Think I'd better start looking where I'm going :-[

Whats even worse Lettie is when the kids stand in it. The mess, it ends up everywere. Then it ends up on there hands and they could be catching alsorts.
There is No need in this day and age. Has you'l agree being a responsible dog owner.
Takes seconds to pop a couple of carrier bag or poop scoop in your bag or pocket and plenty of bins around the place.

People crossing the road when they can hear / see a siren.  They should wait until either they can't hear it anymore or it has passed.  If they were ever in the back of an ambulance with siren going waiting for someone to cross, they would never do it again.  It really upsets me.

The thing that really annoys me is how an entire area or community can go downhill because a family with past problems have been given a home.  If the correct checks were done, this wouldn't happen.

I have experience with this from previous work, seeing a nice couple with a great garden requesting to leave their council home in Burnley after 20+ years because a nuisance family had moved in.  Fence ripped down, flowers damaged, bad language, threats, etc.

This is why I enjoy my position.  With this job you can get more involved with one problem, and then move onto the next!

area i used to live in has gone down hill in the last few years, glad i got out when i did. there's no bad area's really it's the people on them. The council dont seem to care. A friend of mine has had to sell her ex council house because of all the trouble with people on the street, If members of the council had to live in these area's then maybe something would be done about it.

When I went to fetch our bin in I was disguted at all the rubbish and bin bags in the ginnel. No need for it. It's a complete health risk people should be ashamed of them selves.

What gets me mad is just when LOTS of very small inconvinient things happen..... things like not being able to find a certain item of clothing, Looking for your fave cereal, opening the box, and only finding enough in there to fill a mug, attempting to make a coffee or tea, and finding theres no milk, going to the loo, and finding no toilet roll, sitting down to watch some TV and the batteries in the remote are dead, and theres non left in the house . . and so the list continues ;D

judging other people on looks, bullies,litterbugs, people who drive up your backside on motorways and me mother who has just had our Sky turned off because we would not pay her monthly for having it under her address.Also people who go on holiday and do not respect the religion and feelings of the locals.But most of all what gets me mad is te governments of this world that will not introduce the DEATH PENALTY for people who abuse children.In this day and age with the Genetic fingerprint 99.9% sure.Even the pill only guarentees that much

Getting on to a very dodgy subject here Mik!
At what level of abuse do you suggest we start to use the death penalty?

There is always room for error, no matter how little. Human, computerised or otherwise.
How often has medical science moved on, and proved itself wrong to some degree?
Genetic fingerprint evidence is not always available,  and circumstancial evidence is so often flawed.

And in any case taking out one offender does not stop the rest, as has been repeatedly proved.
Surely society should be looking for answers why, and how to deal with the problem,  rather than clearing up afterwards.

Besides, some would say the death penalty is the easiest option for the offender.

There is NO excuse IMHO for killing someone. Taking a life is wrong.. having the law on your side or having a so called good reason is no excuse..

Not saying it's not wrong, Harry. Not talking about offenders having the law on their side either.
I'm saying the system has so often been proved wrong.
And society seems to just go on clearing up the mess.
We need to find some answers.
Does taking someone out as a punishment make us any different in the long run.
Plus if an offender stops short of the worst scenario by the minutest degree, either by being stopped in the act or otherwise, does that mean we then don't give the death penalty?

Well IMHO the death penalty means killing someone. And thats wrong..  the people who run the country decide on these things and are making a decision that its OK to kill someone if you have a good reason. ie: they can kill you if they think you deserve it.

How is that any different than anyone else killing someone for what they think is a good reason.. Its relative isn't it?

Its simple.. black and white simple... Killing is wrong.. Even if you have got together and made up a law to say its ok if your doing it as a punishment.. Taking a life is wrong.. There is no excuses or thin lines...

IMHO = In My Humble Opinion :)

We both disagree with the death penalty.

One of my colleagues is a registered nurse for mentally handicapped and worked for many years at Calderstones. She looked after many true Peadophiles and claims it is a pathological condition that no amount of therapy will cure. While in the care of Calderstones, these people were secure, supervised and medicated in a controlled environment. So why have recent governments emphasised care in the community and closed these places down?
Cos it's cheaper :(
Apparently, safety of the community and the mentally ill is no longer important when saving money is an issue! :-/

People who use their car ash trays - and then dump the full contents in the middle of the road?  Also, people who litter - and their excuse is "I'm giving the road sweeps work".  I don't think they've figured out that we actually pay for that service & if it wasn't needed the money could go to something else.

I also agree that sometimes eldery people (especially woman) can be very ignorant if you hold a door open for them - I think it is because they expect it, younger people actually appreciate it enough to thank you.
