Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
Got up this morning and the car had been broken into.:mad:
Luckily they didn't get anything.................smashed window.........but Gingers sat nav is hidden in a secret compartment that no-one knows is there ( so if you barstools are reading this...........HAHAHA ) Police were very good, came out straight away. The bobby said that it is the 22nd taxi to be broken into in 4 days :mad: So if any taxi drivers are reading this!!! Be warned. They took finger prints from a letter that these scum bags had touched, but I'm not holding my breath for these Numpties to get caught. The police said they have a good idea who it is.......but where as they could have gone and questioned them a couple of years ago, now they need hard evidence to even do that ............... It doesn't bother me so much the car getting damaged, it can be repaired.....but it's knowing that people were so near my house while we all slept!!! |
Re: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
It's mad that the police can't question the people they suspect.
|
Re: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
what pee's me off slinks is that IF they are caught will they go to prison or get let off with a suspended sentance cos there's no room for them in prison?

Re: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
DERRRRR IF THEY HAD MONEY THEY WOULDNT HAVE NEEDED TO BREAK IN TO YOUR CAR........I know how mad it feels slinks ..we had ours broken into once even worse we once barred someone from pub and next thing the ruddy car had been torched...

It really annoys doesn't it. I mean it won't even be payed for by the insurance. People assume it will, but it has to come out of our own pocket. Because it's a taxi that was broken into, Gingers insurance is £500 excess before they will even do the work. Well the window only cost £60 to be fitted as well so no point paying £500 excess........but we are £60 out of bloody pocket now. |
Re: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!

Just a quicky thought your Glass Excess under the policy should not be £500.00. The Excess should be £50-£60 or the most I have seen is £100. If you are still struggaling to find Glass Replacement send me a PM as I know a few local firms. |

All done now anyway. Till next time :mad: |
Re: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
Sorry slinks & Ginger about that. Dont they realise that a taxi is a business and that they are stopping people from paying their way. It might be their grandma or grandad that was ringing Ginger asking them to take them shopping - Ginger cant take them - he's having the car fixed after them numpties smashed it! Couldnt they see that there was nothing in there for them?

Re: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
Have you checked out Tink's alibi yet?:D
Seriously, sorry to hear that, and if they do catch the scrotes, I hope they throw the book at them. |
Re: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
Sorry to hear of your misfortune, all you can hope is "what goes around comes around"

The Excess will more than likely be £50.00, £60.00. Usually Glass Claim Do Not reduce your No Claim Bonus 99% of the time. I would find out if I was you. As it may help if he was far away, and had his windscreen break/crack and needed to call Auto Glass or simaler to come and fix on site. |

I just hope your boss doesn't catch you playing in works time !!!

Re: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
First off, Mr D.'s not playing as much as drumming up potential business? (at least that's the story he could tell "the man!")
I too am sorry for this violation against you; slinky and Ginger. Questions: Are most taxi drivers private businesses or do they work for a centralized office? Also, would the rate of insurance go down if you were to have security systems put on the vehicles? Or is this just not something you guys have to do over there? With that many occurences, somebody's gotta known something. Hire some chavs to find out and then have them "visit" the perpetraitors! Brian |

We have two types. Private Hire - Ring Base and Taxi Comes to your location Public Hire - On The street/Rank taxi's no pre book required. Most will be Self Employed. Private Hire will usually pay a fee to the rank for jobs. Where A Public Hire wont have the Fee just pick up from The rank or Street. As for vehicle security, not worth getting for Insurance Discount, most is usually 5% for a Thatchem Cat 1 Alarm, immobaliser these cost £300 +. Same goes for tracker. A Alarm is best for Personal Protection and does help prevent some thefts. Only High performance/Value or some imported vehicles usuall require a Alarm Or Immobaliser |

Re: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
Sorry to hear your car was broken into. It's not very nice to think that you were asleep in bed and literally yards away someone was breaking into your car - I hope they find whoever did it, but I doubt you'll anything more from the police about it.
|
Re: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
OOOoooo I'll double your Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, and hope if the bobbies don't get em, for what it's worth!!! The flippin karma police will be pretty damn busy
|
Re: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
Sorry to hear about that, some barstools around. What a lot of people don't realise is besides having to pay the £60, you have also lost earnings whilst the taxi is been repaired. Must be very maddening for all concerned.

Re: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
It was reported in the Telegraph tonight, if it is the same story, as there were two taxis broken into.

Re: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
I take it you guys don't have any kind of citizen patrols? We have groups of people who volunteer to walk about through the night as a very decent deterent to these type of hooliganisms!
Brian Just be sure to carry a frying pan or two!:D (See weapons of choice thread in Gneral Chat! |
