Re: Anyone Around???

That's seems extremely unfair Lolly, sure it wasn't 'cause you were 'lolling' about ... :D

This could make a good legal case perhaps ? After all, you had a drink in there which you had paid for, and they prevented you from obtaining your goods .. doesn't seem any different than leaving a handbag behind. Still pubs, clubs regulations are different I suppose.

I would definintely have a word with the Manager next time your in (bet you do go again :D ) to demand that they owe you a drink !!

Re: Anyone Around???

Got your pm. That is a strange one. Some pubs stop letting customers in though after a certain time.

i.e. 30 mins before closing.

Lolly 12-02-2007 11:14

Re: Anyone Around???

Fair enough if I was going in for the first time but all i'd done was walked my mate to a taxi, and left a full drink and told him what I was doing. And the Bridge usually let in till quarter to.

Re: Anyone Around???

Seems a bit extreme seeing as you'd only popped out and actually told them you'd be back. I'd complain too if I were you.

Lolly 12-02-2007 11:32

Re: Anyone Around???

If I decide to go in again i'll have a word, otherwise its not really worth it.

WillowTheWhisp 12-02-2007 11:35

Re: Anyone Around???

:D Nah, they need telling so they don't make a habit of it. Last admission tme is fair enough but popping out and back is different.

The problem with people popping out, is that, if other customers are being turned away & you let somebody "pop" back in again, you can cause a lot of aggravation.

Re: Anyone Around???

:D seems like you can cause aggravation when you don't let them back in too - especially when they've got a full drink inside.
Maybe if the policy is not to let people back in then it would have been wise to point that out when she said she was popping out.

Maybe the time has come to re-introduce the old system of stamping your hand with one of those rubber stamp things to show that you had been in and intend to come back soon ... bet Cashman remembers these .. :D

Really Willow, didn't think you were old enough.

Yer dad's quite correct Mancie, except not X-ray .. :D was the ultra violet lights that some clubs used to install, reflected anything white you had on at the time, including dandruff on your jacket ... woe betide you if you were wearing white underwear under flimsy garments .. very embarassing .. :o

cherokee 14-02-2007 02:36

Re: Anyone Around???
