Very pretty.

I have a star related question.

When you watch and sci-fi like star trek they have windows in the space ship. Clearly when the space ship is stood still the stars are like dots in the distance yet when the space ship is moving the stars are like flashing lines whizzing past. Surely any stars would be so far away in the distance that even if the space ship was moving at great speed the stars wouldn't appear to be whizzing past that fast.

Anyone able to explain please?
