Why is it, men in particular, are embarassed to state publicly how much they care for their women .. do they think it makes them any less of a man .. not to me, it doesn't ... would just sigh .... haaaaah, and wish he were mine.

Has anyone seen Sparks??? I have found a luvverly sharp knife in the kitchen, a meat cleaver.....:D

I could not be as romantic as women (or should I say some women) expect men to be.

I do appreciate a nice card but all this gushing with flowers and presents is a little bit too 'teen' first lovish for me. It's a marketing ploy to fill shops with overpriced sh1te and make people feel guilty for not buying it..

I would much rather spend some quality time with Sparks than receive anything.:D Now is that romantic or what!!!!!

Maybe shouldn't have started this thread in such a flippant way, not supposed to be about spending money and any marketing ploy, just something nice you would like to say to your husband, girlfriend, etc.

You have done it already by declaring you would rather spend some quality time with Sparks and definitely romantic ... that is a lovely Valentine's message.
