Geek Test

Are you a geek?

My results ......... Grounded in real life: Some of these statements seemed outlandish and wrong to you, but you found yourself wondering if maybe there was a little inner geek screaming to be let out to play

....... I'm not telling you which ones I answered yes to though! :o

Grounded in real life. My personal interpretation - technically competent, but prefer to spend my time with people and not machines.

Re: Geek Test

My "Yes" answers:

I set up a wireless network in my house. Not exactly rocket science! I've prepared meals that were considerably more complex.

I prefer a keyboard to a pen. Like many left-handed folks, my handwriting leaves a bit to be desired. Also, I try to write intelligently (when I'm not being silly, that is), which works better if I re-read and edit. Faster and easier with a keyboard.

I've blasted monsters? Guilty! Only a few, and generally in an arcade with my nephews. Also shot some groundhogs when I lived on a farm.

Carry expensive equipment in my pockets? iPod, mobile phone and camera (sometimes digital, sometimes non-geeky film camera).

OK lol! My yes's were

You are more comfortable using a keyboard than using a pen

You can do more than 10 emoticons in messenger with just the keyboard

You still have an action figure in its original packaging

Re: Geek Test

OK,

Geek: You have to admit that you are up there in the geek category. You sometimes find yourself amazed that nobody else has found the joys inherent in the silicon chip and you understood every statement in the quiz. Still, my friend, the path to Uber Geek lies ahead of you and you haven't quite made it.

There were three Qs that I answered no to

Re: Geek Test

Grounded also. Can't see why quoting Monty Python and thinking a light saber is cool (especially at night, the new ones when doing battle make wicked flashes and sounds on contatct, from what I've heard:rolleyes: ) would make one geeky!:D

Brian

I answered no to Monty Python. Of course, if they asked me if I could quote Firesign Theatre (or, perhaps, Cheech and Chong)......

One of the more surreal experiences was the first time I heard Firesign Theatre. Woke up in the middle of the night and tuned the radio on, right in the middle of the "Porgy and Mudhead" routine. Ruined a perfectly good night's sleep, but laughed pretty much until dawn.

Gonna have to get out the old turntable and the vinyl. Haven't listened to them in years!

Re: Geek Test

Not a bad hobbit name:

Ragrin 'Goldfather' Topleaf , Mayor of Michel Delving

Goldfather? Maybe like a Polish godfather, the type who makes you an offer you can't understand?
