It probably is Grego. Pork scratchings are pork skins with bits of fat attached, cooked until crispy. It's highly probable that there is some hair left on them from the pig. The hair is usually burnt off with a blowtorch prior to cooking, maybe they missed one.:D

The soggy bits are fat. I only like my own pork crackling, basically because I KNOW which bit of the pig it has come from......no chance of pig pubes.

I did get some a while ago that had a piggy nipple on one, that took some eating! :eek:

Morrisons sell the pork rind raw so you can cook your own. Its cheap as chips(or is that crisps! :D )

Eeeeeeeewwwwww!!! Pig nipples!!! Someone pass me a bucket. Never done pickled eggs either. The soft bits in the pork scratchings will be bits of fat which haven't crisped up during cooking. I suppose it may depend on which part of the pig the scratching has come from........ I've heard that the fat from around pigs bum holes doesn't go crisp.;) :D
