Hey, Willow the answer is the same to both the Chinese and the English question, it is obvious:-

I don't know!

Though I must admit with a bit of revision I might be able to answer the English one, but then, I passed my exams and did what everyone else did, I forgot!:)

The English "University" question is GCSE stuff with perhaps the last part of the question being AS level but very basicly AS level.

The Chinese one I suspect is the end of Alevel, we havn't done it yet but we've just started 3D vectors which I assume is what the question is about.

Geeeeez it took me long enough to pass my gcse nevermind A level - like 14years!!! As u can see maths is not my strong point - yet it my kids strong point:confused:

But got there in the end eventually & nope wont bother with A level :D

I used to love doing stuff like that. I did suffer from a problem that I could work things out in my head without doing any working out or I seemed to do stuff in a totally illogical way to whta my teachers expected but got the answer right. It used to really wind my teachers up as they couldn't work out how I got there.

My brain just seems to have been wired for maths/science stuff as I'm completely and utterly useless at arty things

I used to love geometry at school and wound one of the teachers up something rotten because she hated the subject and openly admitted she couldn't do it so I would always pick the hardest geometry questions if we had free choice for homework! Then she had to draw things on the board to show the rest of the class - she used to end up getting me to draw them and solve the problems. Great time waster as far as the rest of the class were concerned so they used to egg me on. "Go on, do that one! Miss won't have a clue!" :D

What the hell was all that about. I didn't understand a bit of that. My maths skills are terrible anyway but that is rediculous.

Couldnt do maths when i was at school so why try now?:D

I did the CSE twice and both times got the same result - a year apart as well.

at this time of the day brain going to sleep

and what use it that question for good basic maths is what you need to get by these days just so you know how much you should have left in bank/wallet/purse/pocket.....
