Re: Inventions

couple of ideas I've had

a drainpipe that has a 'screw thread' down its length so you don't get that 'drip, drip drip' outside your bedroom window

I have had another good idea that I'm loathe to post as I reckon it could be a proper money maker

Re: Inventions

That screw threaded drainpipe - wouldn't stuff get lodged in it more easily? (leaves, dead sparrows that kind of thing.)

entwisi 27-04-2007 07:22

Re: Inventions

Nah, the thread can be very 'coarse' just such that there is no decent length of drop from the top for liqued to gain any speed, surface tension will keep it on the face of the thread the rest of the way down.

Anyway, with a leaf trap over the hole (Piece of mesh would be enough) you don'y have a problem

Re: Inventions

Just move your drainpipe so it is not vertical :D
