Eurovision tonight

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/eurovision/2007/

Who's insane enough to admit to watching it and are we going to have a go at picking the winners? :D

Re: Eurovision tonight

I'm having people round for a Eurovision party. I'll be dressed as Katie Boyle, and will be serving nibbles from the differing European countries.:D

I just hope too *** we don’t win it. It’s on in the background but I’m in the kitchen doing a spaghetti Bolognese with a Red wins sauce, there’s half a bottle of Jacobs Creek Merlot in it. The other half is in me with a couple of bottles of Bombardier Blonde. :D

Well, not sure about that mallard .. :D

Watched some and well, lighting/staging and sound was excellent .. think all just good fun now and which country can be the most outrageous, nowt to do with the songs anymore. Found our contribution totally embarassing .. two gays and what looked like a set of transvestites pushing a dinner trolley across a stage, and waving those huge lollipops you can buy on Blackpool front.

Can you really say there was one song that appealed to you ?

I liked Hungary, Greece & Sweden. Ours was terrible but i'm still glad we didnt get nil points.

We were the only country who didnt vote in block voting. No western European country is ever going to win again, not with all these Balkan states in.

Re: Eurovision tonight

Well thats it for another year, 19 points is the best we could do apparently, is it worth it, I think they would have been better leaving Casualty on.

Re: Eurovision tonight

What a total farce but I love watching it for the political voting. The only 2 countries voting for us Ireland and Malta:D Its just a pity Isle of Mann,Shetland Isles and the Outer Hebradese couldnt vote.Oh and Gibraltar now that would be fun:D :D

watched it on-line , the voting said a lot about how Democracy works , some folks just aren't ready for it , the Maltese must have thought the British act were the cabin crews from either Easyjet or Ryanair :D :D :D

Re: Eurovision tonight

Who'd have thought a Serbian lesbian would romp home, and win it?

I liked Georgia, with it's techno beat going on, and it was nice to see Sue Pollard dressed up in tin-foil, as a gay Ukranian man.

As for Schooch/Screech, what seemed quite funny in the BBC studio, didn't translate at all well in a massive arena. You couldn't even hear the even camper of the two air stewards asking the gentleman if he wanted anymore salty nuts.

Bring back Clodagh Rodgers.:D
