Be careful tonight as Lens enjoying himself deleting threads, where is the 4 poles thread, a serious topic but not for accyweb on a wet Thursday night when Lens about.

I did PM you Len before starting this thread but you failed to answer.

I found your comment a little unpleasant, but no more so than the flippant remarks made by several others on here.
The gents posting made a serious enquiry about work in our area and were treated with derision. Not what you would call " setting an example" were we ??

I was joking, but with serious intent. I was making the point that you don't like foreigners coming to work in this country, but I'm sure you're happy enough that a certain native of Benin has got a job with a local organisation!

maybe if one or two had made them feel a bit more welcome to the site before taking the mick, out of what seemed a geniune post inquiring about jobs the thread would still be up

maybe they ought to have asked the area and the people first ( made friends via the site) not just Gizza Job I can do that kind of attitude: this is a local forum for local people: yes all are welcome , but I think we should help out our own first:

I made a joke about a marquee, just because four Poles reminded me of four candles sketch by the Two Ronnies.

I did also wish them luck, and put a :).

I think they are going to need that luck if they are going to enjoy the Lancastrian humour.

We had good reason for removing that thread and I’m sorry if it has spoilt your fun.
Also, many thanks for the pm but unfortunately I was unable to view it until now. You may not think so, but we mods sometimes have more important things that need doing and often they need tending to first.
