The Spread Of Sousism

How can we stop this Souscism that seems to dominate some threads?...I tell you now it has to be nipped in the bud or this forum is doomed

Re: The Spread Of Sousism

souse
/sowss/

• verb 1 soak in or drench with liquid. 2 soused (of gherkins, fish, etc.) pickled or marinaded: soused herring. 3 soused informal drunk.

• noun 1 liquid used for pickling. 2 informal a drunkard.

— ORIGIN Old French sous ‘pickle’; related to SALT.

Perhaps it's discrimination against pickles, or drunks maybe.

Re: The Spread Of Sousism

:( I love Sousse. It's my favourite holiday destination. I have never said anything bad about it in my entire life.

I like gherkins too
;)

Re: The Spread Of Sousism

The word seems to have gained a 'c', between posting the title of the thread and the first post.

Perhaps sousism, comes from sous, the French word for under.

Mancie might know of an Australian plan to take over the site, a little like the Belgians did six months ago.:D

Re: The Spread Of Sousism

I guess Mancie doesn't remember but we had quite the chat about his feelings on this. Actually, he weren't to coherent but I was the only one on.

Allow me to explain as he had some very interesting thoughts many of which were very intriguing. Okay there was a bit of gibberish but the main thought was how he felt that over the past 2 - 3 months there was a whole deeper infarction that was being rent on Accyweb (his words not mine)(dag, wicked bad thunderstorm coming in over here!).

If you think about it, he made alot of sense. Think about it, about 3 months ago, there was a large increase

You've lost me Brian. A large increase of what?

Re: The Spread Of Sousism

Yeah, sorry about that folks. Lightening knocked out power in mid sentence. Afraid I may lose it again. Wasn't quite sure what the outcome was but luckily I had forwarded me and Mancie's chat on to Rindy.

So dear bruva Gary, can you please let the folks in on the "Mancie Brief!"

Pickled gherkins are great on a homemade burger.

We can stop it:-

a) by spelling it correctly
2] by not trying to be so clever as to use words the rest of us don't understand!

You might find that if you use plain English people would agree with you, please, don't be so pretentious, that surely is the job the should be left to those that need to feel superior? (Less steps forward and offers his services).:D

So are you moaning about people moaning?

That's ironic when somebody else is moaning about people being too twee.

just curious , why would you want to forward a chat between you and some else to a third party ? sounds like tittle tattle over the back yard wall , IMO internet chats should be treated the same as 3 am phone calls , forgotten .

I'm still not much wiser, and now I have belly ache, because the instructions were to print off the message and eat it, after having reading the mysterious ramble.:D

Re: The Spread Of Sousism

I'm not sure I would like the idea of an online conversation of mine being passed on to someone else for analysis. If I want to share something with all and sundry I post it on a message board but if I'm having a private conversation I'm naive enough to hope that it would remain private. :(

Nothing personal Rindy, I'd say the same whoever the conversation was passed onto.

Re: The Spread Of Sousism

Will somebody please tell me what sousism/souscism is because I'm still no wiser.

I've tried googling but to no avail.

Re: The Spread Of Sousism

Awww, you guys aint being any fun. I was just taking up Rindy's dissapointment that Mancie didn't even make up what he was on about.

I was just trying to create a bit of intrigue. Not chats were shared or even conducted. So, that's that . . . . or is it? This may be some diabological cover-up to protect the incredible insight that Mancie shared on the night in question . . . nah, it weren't nothiong at all!

Boring old Brian

Hey Manicie, just noticed the Karma. Thanks muchly! Glad you were sucked into my attempt at intrigue! LOL LOL!

There isn't one. Mancy invented it when he was having a 'bad night' (see his post earlier)

Re: The Spread Of Sousism

I read that post but thought he meant that he couldn't remember what he was referring to.
